Commitment

Accessibility at ArchAI Academy

Our mission is to democratize AI for everyone — and "everyone" means exactly that. We are committed to ensuring our website and programs are accessible to people of all abilities.

Our Standard

ArchAI Academy aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We continuously review and improve our site against these standards.

Visual Accessibility

  • WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios across all text and UI elements
  • All images include descriptive alt text for screen readers
  • Content is readable without relying on color alone
  • Scalable text — the interface remains functional when zoomed to 200%

Keyboard & Motor Accessibility

  • All interactive elements are fully keyboard-navigable (Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)
  • Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements
  • No content requires hover-only interaction
  • Forms include clear labels, error messages, and logical tab order

Screen Reader Support

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks for navigation (header, main, nav, footer)
  • ARIA labels and roles applied to interactive components
  • Meaningful link text — no "click here" or ambiguous labels
  • Dynamic content updates announced via ARIA live regions

Responsive & Mobile

  • Fully responsive design — accessible on all screen sizes and orientations
  • Touch targets meet minimum 44×44px size requirements
  • No horizontal scrolling required at standard zoom levels
  • Compatible with mobile screen readers (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android)

Program Accommodations

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for participants with disabilities in all of our in-person and online programs. Accommodations we can arrange include:

  • Closed captioning or transcripts for virtual sessions
  • Printed large-format materials for in-person sessions
  • Extended time allowances for assessments or lab exercises
  • Alternative formats for course materials (audio, high-contrast PDF)
  • Sign language interpretation with advance notice
  • Accessible venue selection for in-person sessions
  • One-on-one support sessions for participants who need additional assistance

Please notify us of any accommodation needs at least 5 business days before your program start date so we can ensure everything is in place.

Known Limitations & Ongoing Work

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of our site are still being improved. Our interactive schedule calendar and third-party Stripe checkout pages may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to address these gaps. If you encounter any barriers, please tell us — your feedback directly informs our roadmap.
